The Mighty Mega Saturday Club at Discover Children's Story centre is a creative space for children with SEN and their families to come and learn different creative skills and meet other children and families. I was involved co-facilitating photography sessions with another photographer and art therapist and illustrating detailed plans for the sessions. The children explored different photographic techniques including zoom, portraits, black and white, light painting, stop motion and sun-printing as well as using photography to tell stories, record their feelings and emotions and even recreate the Olympic and Paralympic games. The result-a photographic library of over 7.000 beautiful, inspirational, funny and intriguing images. The children and families were involved curating an exhibition with 150 of our favorite images at Discover and we also created a book with images from the show and the workshops.
